I could not resist the call to help rebuild the Hi-Tor Animal Shelter. So I volunteered to serve as the Orangetown Coordinator. In this capacity, I hope to motivate and mobilize the residents and merchants of Orangetown to assist with the fund raising that is necessary in order to provide a new home for the wonderful cats, dogs, birds, and other assorted animals that require temporary shelter in Rockland County.
So, now I call on you, Orangetown. If you live or work here and can spare just a little time, please email me at anneputko@gmail.com. I will supply you with a Rebuild Hi-Tor donation jar for placement at a local merchant's place of business, or other public place. All you have to do is collect the donations from time to time.
Many of us, myself included, have had our lives enriched by adopting a wonderful pet from Hi-Tor. It's time for us to show our appreciation by helping in the effort to rebuild the shelter.
